SANTA BARBARA CONSERVANCY, “Save What You Love.”

The SANTA BARBARA CONSERVANCY through its board members explain why its critically important to preserve Santa Barbara’s architectural heritage. Board members in the film include Don Sharpe (AIA), Mike Imwalle, Stella Larson, Mary Louise Days, Susette Naylor and Richard Oglesby. The film also includes beautiful architectural photos taken by David P. Jones (AIA).

 

LEE ANN KNODLE (“MRS B”), “Keep Doing What You’re Doing.”

MRS B is the last vocational teacher at SB High School, Her students in the Don’s Net Cafe prepare federal and state tax returns for over 600 community members. The entire program is self-supporting. Students make and sell a wide variety of products. Her students travel and actively support Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots global initiative, which strives make a positive difference in people’s lives.

JAN MARTINEZ, ANTHONY LOMBARDI, SB HARBOR PATROL, “Let’s Go.”

 

JAN MARTINEZ, ANTHONY LOMBARDI, SB HARBOR PATROL.   A sailor’s name came up on the national kidney transplant register. Despite high seas and winds, Officers Jan Martinez and Anthony Lombardi were dispatched to the islands after Mick Kronman, their supervisor, said: “Let’s Go.” It turns out this deployment was not unusual, Harbor Patrol officers who explain how they provide daily policing and other essential services within the SB Harbor community and beyond.
